Banjara Teej Cultural Program About the Program The Banjara Teej Cultural Program is an initiative of Kesula Charitable Trust to celebrate, preserve, and promote the vibrant cultural heritage of the Banjara tribal community. Teej is a festival of joy, unity, and devotion, observed with traditional songs, dances, rituals, and colorful gatherings. Through this program, KCT aims to showcase the rich traditions, attire, art, and folklore of the Banjaras while fostering cultural pride among the younger generation. Objectives To preserve and promote Banjara cultural heritage and traditional art forms. To provide a platform for Banjara artists, women, and youth to exhibit their talent. To encourage intercultural dialogue and awareness among wider society about tribal traditions. To strengthen community unity, women’s participation, and youth engagement. To highlight the role of festivals in social harmony, identity, and empowerment. Key Activities Traditional Lambadi dance and folk music performances. Cultural exhibitions of Banjara attire, ornaments, embroidery, and handicrafts. Workshops & storytelling sessions on Banjara rituals, history, and lifestyle. Special focus on women’s participation in Teej celebrations. Food stalls and handicraft stalls promoting local entrepreneurship.
